this breakdown cover was recommended by Which so I read the reviews now it has put me off so I am back to searching but has anyone else had this sort of experisnce with them

I used to be with AA relay and now wish I had stayed with them. GEM Assist took 6 hours to rescue us from breakdown in London, it was freezing cold and their excuse was it takes a long time because we were in the congestion zone, totally unacceptable. We have a family policy, my daughter also called out GEM when her engine warning light came on, they said as the car started they could not help get her home, she should just chance driving the car. Oh GEM you are no GEM at all and I will not be renewing with you next year.
