Such a shame that it looks like we are going to lose this shop! It has always been a place where you could find almost anything you needed for the house and home, and I thi k most people in Forest Row will sorely miss it if it has to close down
I'd give this place -5 stars if it was possible, they have literally the worst attitude ever, and are seriously overpriced. Examples: "Do you sell paint rollers?" "Yes, I only have these cheap nasty ones, they're 4x the price of a normal one, but can you be bothered to go all the way to Homebase?" That was literally what he said, word for word. Eg 2: "Can you refill the new plastic Calor gas cannisters?" "Yes but I can't be bothered". Eg 3. Just walk in the shop and ask anything at all, and you'll get a huffy and edgy answer, God knows how this place is still in business.
I love this place, there's honestly nothing you can't get in here! Always well stocked and the staff are lovely too.
A wonderful family-owned village store with an amazing variety of goods. I often find tools, fittings and consumables that I've struggled to get elsewhere. Bishops works extremely hard to accommodate its customers, and fully deserves its success in a world dominated by faceless superstores.
