I go regularly and we always order sandwiches and earl grey tea which comes with a generous choc cookie. Lovely atmosphere and staff are always very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble!
Bad start to a bad experience. I phoned to confirm check in time and was told I did not have a booking. After finding my confirmation email they confirmed my booking, but changed my room on arrival despite specifically booking a specific room 6 months earlier. ( still charged me the original price ). Room service meals arrived burned ( kids hamburger ) and raw ( kids meatballs ) and the adult soup missed the bread, despite several calls to room service. Staff were rude and not helpful. The room itself had a leak, the bath drained into the shower, the heating was 100% or zero. I have been twice before and loved it. This was a total disaster. Until the place is revamped, including staff. Avoid. I will not return.
Superb! Stayed for 1 night and had the 3 course meal included. Food all excellent and room very comfortable, fairly recently refurbished. A little slice of luxury superbly delivered.
The hotel is very traditional and the service at the hotel and restaurant was fabulous. My sister and I were there for a spa day and whilst there is a pretty little pool and the treatment rooms and staff were lovely, the 'spa' facilities are tired and inadequate. I was meant to be booking for a group of 8 ladies for a spa night but will rethink. However if the ladies want to do the Llama walking rather than the spa then we shall still go ahead. The grounds are beautiful and I loved getting the map and finding the secret garden etc. The food at the restaurant was fabulous and easily worthy of its 2 rosette status.
Fantastic, bought on the ultimate indulgence package. Friendly attentive staff, nice clean big rooms. Spa was clean, professional, had a great full body massage. Dinner was excellent, very attentive, well prepared. Silver service. Overall very happy!
